South Asian Recovery Center is a physician-owned residential substance use disorder treatment facility in Encino, Los Angeles, created to serve South Asian individuals and families, including Indian, Pakistani, Bangladeshi, Sri Lankan, and Nepali, and other communities, who need a comprehensive and structured addiction treatment in a private setting that understands their world.
Because South Asian Recovery Center is physician-owned, the program was designed with a clinical understanding of addiction as a treatable medical condition, and with cultural understanding of the pressures that shape how South Asian families experience it, including stigma, family honor, community perception, intergenerational expectations, and the silence that often surrounds mental health.
