Our Residential Substance Use Treatment Approach

South Asian Recovery Center provides structured, discreet residential addiction treatment in Encino, Los Angeles. Our model is physician-owned, clinically grounded, and culturally responsive: treatment is designed to address the substance use disorder itself while respecting the family, faith, and cultural context that surrounds recovery.
Core Treatment Services

Treatment built around meaningful clinical work.

Residential care combines private individual work, peer-based group counseling, and family involvement when appropriate and consented to by the client.

01
Individual Counseling
Individual counseling gives each client a structured, private space to examine substance use patterns, triggers, relapse risks, shame, family pressure, work stress, identity across cultures, relationship strain, and recovery goals. For many South Asian clients, individual work also addresses the weight of expectations, whether academic, professional, marital, or generational, and the isolation of struggling silently.
02
Group Counseling
Recovery deepens among peers. Group sessions in our small residential setting reduce the isolation and secrecy that so often surround addiction, allowing clients to examine patterns alongside others who understand what it means to carry both an addiction and a reputation.
03
Family Involvement and Education
With the client’s consent, family participation can be a powerful part of treatment. This may include family education about addiction as a treatable medical condition, structured family sessions, guidance for spouses and parents on boundaries and support, and communication planning for the return home. We approach family work with respect for family roles and hierarchy, and with honesty about what recovery requires.
Community Based Care

Case Management

Case management translates treatment progress into practical steps. For our clients, that may include:
01

Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) Coordination and Support

Medication-assisted treatment can be an important part of care for some clients, particularly for alcohol and opioid use disorders. South Asian Recovery Center supports MAT coordination when clinically appropriate. Medication decisions are individualized and made with licensed clinicians experienced in addiction treatment.
02

Continuing Care Planning

Residential treatment is a beginning, not a cure. We help each client prepare for the period after discharge, when outpatient therapy, recovery support meetings, medication follow-up, family dynamics, and returning to work or school become central. Continuing care plans are individualized and may include outpatient referrals, relapse prevention planning, peer support options, and family aftercare guidance.
03

Daily Structure

Residential treatment is a beginning, not a cure. We help each client prepare for the period after discharge, when outpatient therapy, recovery support meetings, medication follow-up, family dynamics, and returning to work or school become central. Continuing care plans are individualized and may include outpatient referrals, relapse prevention planning, peer support options, and family aftercare guidance.
